I’m one of the cool kids now, please help me out.
Christmas day was a very good one for me. Not just because I had an awesome time with family, had good food, and some refreshing drinks, but also because Santa brought me an awesome gift (Ok, my wife did, but I didn’t want to burst your bubble). Here’s my new baby:

Santa brought me a Macbook!
Now, thrilled and excited, (because I’m one of the cool kids now, according to @mayhemstudios)I want to get working on it right away. I already got Photoshop, but I didn’t want to invest in Dreamweaver (right away), since I know there’s some killer apps out there for a Mac, I just want you to tell me which one is the awesomest. I heard Coda is pretty good, so I downloaded the trial for it.
Any other killer-apps are welcome too, but please don’t post links to “The top 100 Mac-apps” or something, ’cause that doesn’t tell me anything.

These pictures were taken when I was unwrapping the gift. The smile in the last image was on my face for a few days
My wife actually told me to stop telling her “I got a Mac” every few hours..

The pictures were taken early in the morning, so don’t mind the “do” and outfit

Let’s see what I have installed at the moment:
Adium for any IM,
Adobe Lightroom 2 for photography,
AudialHub to convert audio (use VisualHub for video),
Chicken of the VNC which is a VNC Viewer (a VNC server is build in OS X),
Firefox,
Flickr Uploadr,
ForkLift which is a nice Norton Commander like file manager (PathFinder is also a nice alternative to Finder),
Ableton Live for creating music and mixes,
MacMP3Gain,
Mixed In Key for calculating in which key a song is,
OpenOffice (or use iWork),
Remote Desktop Connection for remotely managing Windows (eeew) machines,
SMARTReporter to keep an eye on my harddrives,
Snackr which is a news ticker,
TextMate for editing HTML, PHP and other files (BBEdit is also a good editor),
TweetDeck,
twhirl,
uTorrent,
Versions which is a Subversion client,
VLC for playing any video or audio format,
VMware Fusion for running Windows, Linux and any other OS virtually.
That’s about it.

Join the club Linda! I will have a Mac when I’m older though, I’ve promised myself.

Also, it looks like the Mac was hidden in another box – so when you opened the pressie guess you were not expecting a Mac eh?!!!

@Linda: Don’t worry, you’re still a cool kid to me
@Jack: At first I thought she bought a Wii, because the shape of the box was exactly the same as a Wii-box, but when I saw the box for a backrest, I knew there was something else in there
@Rudeboy: you have to get with the now, man
